The Call

If your speakers aren't already on, turn them on and restart this song. Or if you are reading this on Google Reader, go on to my blog and listen to it.
Music has a profound effect on me. It always has. It has the ability to seize my emotions and put me in a different realm. It brings sentiment to every experience. Every once in a while I hear a song. The second I hear it, I can just tell it is going to be a favorite for a long time. Straight to the heart. Last night, Julie and I, along with Noah and Kristi went to Prince Caspian. It was an awesome show full of symbolism and awesomeness and some pretty amazing cinematography. My favorite part though had to be at the very end when this song came on. The song you are hearing right now is by Regina Spektor and is called The Call. I can tell this song is always going to remind me of this stage in my life, here in New York as a newlywed, with my beautiful wife Julie, establishing ourselves as a couple. So now that I have listened to it a few times, I am eager to find the meaning to it. I'll be back when you call me, no need to say goodbye. It fit in well with the end of the movie, but I sure there is a deeper meaning. Let me know what you think. I hope you like this an much and me, Julie, Kristi and Noah do. Pretty sure this will be my song on the Eyrealm CD this year. Go see Caspian if you haven't seen it yet. The new Coldplay song right after it is really good too. Have a listen.
